Now that we've settled that, below you'll find my restaurant reviews, personal social media sites, and last but not least my Blog posts. I'll be writing about everything; business, personal experiences, rants and opinions about my day to day life in the tech world and the restaurant industry.

So enjoy yourselves, comment, "like", "share", and stay in touch!

My reviews on Yelp!

So I've decided to start writing my own restaurant reviews, since everybody thinks they're restaurant critics I might as well feel like one too. At least I actually work in the restaurant Industry. So you can actually trust my reviews.

I have accounts on TripAdviser, UrbanSpoon and Yelp! But you will find that I just copy the review and post it on all three sites, since they've decided to split the reviews by providing so many different sites to review on. I've also started using Google Places in an effort to give google a little attention since they seem to be trying to get a piece of every single market. (ie. Social Media with Google+, Reviews with Google Places, Phones with Android, etc. You get the point)

My reviews on UrbanSpoon!

Just incase you wanted to see my UrbanSpoon "likes" and "dislikes", here's my UrbanSpoon Profile. Click on the link if you want more detailed info on the places I've visited. The reviews are all the same as the ones on Yelp, but if you prefer UrbanSpoons layout then here you go!

Social Networking Sites

If you want to keep in touch with me, personally, below is my facebook profile. It's the easiest and most convinient way to keep in touch, since I spend a lot of time updating facebook pages, and doing social media for the companies I work for. If you want to stay up to date with Shadoware Technologies and My Blog check out the fan pages and give them a like, or come straight here to the website!

Thanks!

Capitalizing on Germaphobia... and Stupidity. #Rant

I saw something at Stapples that made me realize how incredibly gullible the American consumer can be. And by gullible I mean stupid.

Here's what I saw:

"Purell2Go"

Seriously? Have we become that scared of germs that we need a hand sanitizer key chain? This has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty of stupid crap.

This fanatical love for hand sanitizer and anti bacterial products is getting way out of hand. People have to realize that we've been around for millions of years (before you call me an idiot, I'm not just talking about homosapiens, hominids, our ancestors, have been traced back to Africa roughly 2.4 million years ago. Yes I believe in evolution, you should too.), and I'm pretty sure we didn't have hand sanitizer for the grand majority of those years, just saying.

Now what I would like you too know is that the excessive use of hand sanitizer is actually bad for you. Why? Simple, the package says pretty clearly that it kills up to 99% of bacteria or germs, some of the bacteria it kills is actually good bacteria, for example there's bacteria that lives on your skin and helps our immune system, so if you sanitized the hell out of your hands, as most sanitizer fanatics do, when you get a cut the chances of having it swell up and get full of the bad bacteria is very high. Kind of defeats the purpose, no?

Just wash you hands when you get them dirty, remember we do have an immune system that needs to get some work every now and then.

But if you feel like your life isn't complete without the sanitizer keychain, be my guest. Darwinism should kick in here at some point. Either that or you're all going to end up creating a super strain of bacteria immune to hand sanitizer that's going to end up killing you all off while my immune system kicks the bacteria’s ass. :)

The outlook is grim...

It's a depressing time we live in. Do I, do we, really deserve this?

Look around, what do you see? Do you see the same despair I see? Do you see the horizon? Or do you see no end to the depression and the hardship we have before us?

Personally I see no end to this. Things are getting worse day by day, I'm afraid to turn on the news because I know I won't find comfort in what I see. We've been handed one of the worst economies in history, trillions of dollars in deficits, a government that only bickers and can't get anything done, one that spends 40% more than it takes in, a horrible justice system, wars, poverty and hunger, why do we have to inherit these problems?

The politicians who occupy Washington today can only see as far as the end of their terms. They could care less what happens afterwards. We've had the problems of the entire planet dumped on our laps, and they give it to us to fix. We, and by we I mean my generation, has been left the broken pieces of the puzzle, and piecing it back together is damn near impossible.

I feel like I've aged 10 years in the past 3. The daily stress of uncertainty that I face, and the economic turmoil I'm in, only serves to depress me. I find it close to impossible to feel even the slightest bit of happiness knowing that at any given time I may lose my job, not because of my performance, or my lack of motivation, but because my job might not exist if the economy doesn't turn around. It's a horrible feeling knowing that everything you were taught during your childhood, everything that was implanted in our minds from the moment we walked through our classroom doors, is false.

We're taught that through hard work and education, we will be successful in life. We're taught that if we really try hard, we will achieve all our goals. This is simply not true. All of this is a lie. The success you have in life might as well be based purely on luck. And as for education, it's a joke. All my education did was put me in debt, I learned nothing in a class room that I didn't already know, I knew more about my field than my outdated professors. And the sad reality is that I continue to pay for my education and will continue to pay for my education for years to come. All for a piece of paper that, in this economy, is useless.

But what I find most unsettling about all of this, is that the piece of paper has potentially come at the cost of my home. I am on the verge of backing out of buying a home, not because I can't afford it, or I don't have the credit, it's simply because Bank of America decided not to back the type of loan I needed to secure the house. So now, after I've already put a significant amount of money on the house, I may have lost the money since I have to come up with over 5,000 dollars to secure a different loan, and the money isn't even needed, they just want me to have it. So far I've been unsuccessful in securing the money, although I've never asked anybody for money before and I've proved my self to be responsible and a hard worker, nobody has come to my aid, and that is very painful given that I've done more than enough to deserve a little help, but apparently I am cosmically unworthy, since karma has failed to apply to me, my good deeds have been rewarded with hardship. What makes me sick is the ease at which they can tell me to just "get" the money. Borrow it, make it, promise to give it back, all lines used to convince me of the ease of borrowing that sum of money in this kind of economy. So thanks to the irresponsibility’s of previous generations, I'm forced to deal with the consequences. I am forced to jump through flaming hoops to try and provide a home for myself, and for my family. The only hope I have left is that my children won't have to go through the same things I am going through now, that they be able to sleep a full night and not have to spend it writing paragraph after paragraph of grim realities in an effort to get this off my chest and free my mind of thought, although it never seems to work.

Yet another sleepless night spent writing. When will my break come? I'm not sure how much longer I can wait...
